About Bulb Energy
You’ve probably heard of the ‘Big Six’ when it comes to energy companies, but there are newer ones popping up all the time.
Bulb is very popular, because they are a green energy company. They claim to be the UK’s biggest green energy supplier.
But what does that mean?
The Bulb electricity that they provide is 100% renewable from solar, wind and hydro, and the gas energy that they provide is 100% carbon neutral.
They buy their energy from independent renewable generators across the UK, and then buy the rest from the wholesale market.
Bulb Vari Fair Reviews
A good thing about Bulb*, is that they offer a single tariff, instead of making it all complicated.
They say that their competitors reel people in with low prices, and then hike it up. They are committed to not doing this.
Bulb’s vari fair tariff shows you the best price that they can offer you. And if the cost of energy goes up, they will do their best to keep the costs low for you.
Bulb’s Prepay Tariff
If you have a top-up meter, you are still able to switch to Bulb and pay as you go.
Bulb say that their Prepay tariff is on average, £181 cheaper than the other main suppliers.
There are over 28,000 places to top up, at any Paypoint or Payzone.
It’s important to check out a company and how their Bulb customer reviews.
I’ve had a look at Bulb Trustpilot score, and it is a high 4.7 out of 5 stars, with the rating of Excellent. Bulb Reviews are generally very positive.

I would happily recommend them to anyone. If you’re worrying about is Bulb Energy too good to be true – no, they’re just a great new company which is focusing on low prices and green energy.
I don’t know what you may have read in other Bulb Energy reviews (or other energy suppliers reviews), but this is all my honest experience.
Bulb Energy Prices
The price that you pay for your gas and electricity will depend on the area that you live in, and how much you use.
Before I made the switch, I made sure that I checked the prices of other energy suppliers – and Bulb was the cheapest. I had heard lots of good stuff about them as well, so I was happy to make the switch.
Who is Bulb Energy?
Bulb Energy started in 2015, and is the largest renewable energy supplier in the UK.
They are based in London, but also operate in Texas, France and Spain.
Who owns Bulb Energy? The founders of Bulb are Amit Gudka and Hayden Wood.
They have grown incredibly quickly, and you can see why. People want the cheapest energy possible, and are fans of green energy.
I’ve seen something about Bulb Energy fake reviews floating about – this seems extremely unlikely to me, as I have had such a good experience, so have my family, friends and readers.
Do Bulb Use Smart Meters?
Yes, Bulb have started to roll out smart meters. They are second generation meters which can be read by any supplier, and you can get them installed for free.
With a smart meter, you can see how much energy you are using in real-time – which is helpful if you are trying to reduce your bill.
You will also have accurate bills based on your usage, and you won’t need to submit any meter readings. Which is handy, if you’re terrible at remembering to do this, as I am!
Do Bulb Check Credit?
They don’t for residential customers. They do credit check for business customers.
How Long Does It Take to Switch to Bulb?
